To fish in this beautiful region, you’ll need:

The waters are very clean and boast an excellent fish population. The Mecklenburg Lake District offers a wide variety of fish species, making it particularly successful for anglers targeting predatory fish. In addition to zander, pike, and perch, you might also catch trout or eels with skill and a bit of luck. More than 50 fish species thrive in these waters!
Given the vastness of the Mecklenburg Lake District, it’s advisable to have detailed depth maps and a fish finder to locate the best fishing spots. The region is rich in large fish, and with a houseboat, you can leisurely fish the hotspots and weed beds.
